Sarah Scoggin is a lifelong resident of Buchanan.  She graduated from Buchanan High School, where she was active in both athletic and academic extracurricular activities.  Sarah attended college at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science – Public Law.

In 2005, Sarah began law school at Michigan State University College of Law in East Lansing.   She completed her law school externship at Legal Aid of Western Michigan in St. Joseph in 2006, concentrating on cases involving divorce, custody, child protection, and landlord/tenant issues.  During law school she was a member of the Family Law Society and the Spartan Law Students Society.  Sarah graduated from MSU Law in 2008 and was admitted as a member of the State Bar of Michigan the same year.
Sarah joined the Law Office of Carol Montavon Bealor in 2009, focusing her practice in the areas of family law, estate planning, and landlord/tenant matters, among others.  In March 2013, Scoggin & Duncan, PLLC commenced operations as  successor to the Law Office of Carol Montavon Bealor.  Here, Sarah is committed to providing her clients with the same compassionate and trustworthy legal services that she acquired during her years as Attorney Bealor's associate.

Outside of practicing law, Sarah volunteers with various community organizations such as the Cass County Youth Council.  In her free time, Sarah enjoys watching sports (Go Cubs Go!) and spending time with her friends and family, which includes her two crazy bird dogs: English Pointers named Cooper and Parker.
